Preparing a File

Designing artwork for large-format printing is straightforward when you follow a few basic guidelines:

  • Raster images should be 120–180 dpi or greater at the finished print size.
  • Prepare artwork at full scale or no less than 10% of the final size.
  • CMYK color is preferred. If your artwork is RGB, convert it to CMYK when possible.
  • Include all linked images and fonts, or convert text to outlines before sending.
  • Use the bleed specified in the product template. For custom projects without a template, include one inch of bleed on all sides.
  • Preferred file types include vector PDF, EPS, AI, and PSD. We support Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop files.

If color matching is important, include Pantone colors and note them in your project instructions. Reference samples are also helpful when an exact color match is required.
